The Latest
So we haven't uploaded anything on here in a year
though we have been busy on our myspace page we figured we'd give you guys the
latest on what's going on in our lives. Cindy had her third child a while
ago and she is going like a weed! Needless to say, its becoming harder and
harder to find the free time like we used to.
We are looking forward to seeing you all out in September this year when we do a
show with Emissarius. Its the only show we decided to book this year.
Writing new material has proven difficult to find the time to do, but its
something we really want to do before loading up on shows again.
Thanks to all of you who keep in touch with us to see what's going on in our
lives! We love you!

Co-sponsored by Bible League!!
www.BibleLeague.org
Bible League is one of the world's largest evangelical, non-denominational
Scripture placement agencies. They provide Bibles through Bible studies and
training to Christians worldwide, including those who live under religious
persecution, to give them comfort and hope.
You know how the Bible has changed your life...won't you provide that
opportunity for someone else? Consider becoming a monthly partner with Bible
League. We are so excited to be supported by these guys and we definately
support what they do too!! There are over 400 million Christians who do not
have a copy of their own Bible!! Among many of those Christians, there is
religious persecution against them. YOU CAN HELP!! Team up with us as we team
up with them in supporting our brothers and sisters in need of God's Word!!!

Jars of Clay update
Wow! What a
great night! For those of you who made it out, we are sure you all enjoyed a
great evening! We were able to not only play well, but also minister well.
After playing our set we were able to give everyone in the audience the Gospel
and an invitation to accept Christ. There were many moist eyes after the show,
so we are convinced that some were added to the family of God!

Opening for Jars of Clay
God has really
been opening some doors for us lately...one of them that stands out the most is
our recent invite to open for "Jars of Clay." We are very excited about this
opportunity and hope that we will be able to minister to everyone in the crowd!

"Will Play For Change"
Tour Keith from
indieheaven.com has justinvited us to be part of Indie Heaven's "Will Play For
Change" tour!!! This is a national tour that is offered to independent Christian
artists to get national exposure to their ministries!!! Thanks to our loyal fan
Josh Burgin, Keith was notified of our ministry and he invited us to play a show
on June 18th of this year in Sykesville,
Maryland!!! Because of short notice, we were only able to get one slot in the
tour, but next year we plan on becoming more active with the tour!!! Please keep
us in your prayers for this step for next year as we will need to really plan
out our schedules well.

The Name Change
As you can see,
we have gone through a name change. It was a very stressful and painful
transition because we had to redo A LOT of things (website, domain name, press
kits, logo, letterhead, etc.). God has pulled us out of a legal dispute over our
old name “The Broken Silence.” The new name to stay is “Overtaken.”

Omega Studios
We are
scheduled to be at Omega Studios on April 19th at 3:00 pm to have our CD finalized and burned to a glass master. As soon as it is
burnt, we will be mailing it off to be reproduced for marketing.

Send Me on Radio Charts
We are very excited to announce that our song “Send Me” was #1 on
indieheaven.com’s radio charts for the month of March! Indieheaven offers a
radio servicing application to their members that allows them to post their
songs on the site for radio stations to access and download. Every 31 days they
clear the available downloads so that more artists can post songs. We have just
now posted our song “A Place to Rest My
Head” on the site for radio stations to download. Please call your local radio
stations and let them know about indieheaven’s radio servicing application. For
more info, email Keith from indieheaven at:

Sonny in Training
Please keep us in your prayers as Sonny is seeking council from as many
tough critics as possible to build the gifts God has given him. If you have any
resources or contacts that will help Sonny reach this goal, please let us know.
We are currently looking into the “Nashville Songwriters Association” as well as
many other organizations that will critique our songs for a fee. Pray that both
of our hearts will be soft and humble to gladly accept and consider all
criticisms. It is far too easy to become defensive instead of receptive when
being criticized for art that you poured your life into.

GMA Academy Update
We are back from our trip to
Nashville and it was a great experience! We didn't realize how much we didn't
know about the Industry or songwriting, so please keep us in your prayers for us
to have the patience and perseverance to apply all that we have learned. A
couple of producers reviewed our material and have offered us an opportunity to
hire them for our next album, so we will be prayerfully considering that as
well. We are very thankful for all of your prayers regarding this trip because
without them, believe us, we would have been devastated by the long road we now
have in front of us. WE LOVE YOU!

GMA Academy Regional Finalists
The winners for the Rock/Pop/Alternative category have been announced by GMA.
Although we did not win, we would like to congratulate and promote those who
did: Andon Sawyer, Lily Rubio, Autumn Fleming, and Cindy Johnson. We are still
scheduled to attend the seminar and connect with other musicians and record
companies.

GMA Academy in Nashville, TN
We will be leaving for Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, February
10, 2005 at 12:00 noon to attend the Gospel Music
Association's "GMA Academy." We should be returning
on Sunday, February 13, 2005 around noon. Please keep us in prayer for traveling
mercies, etc. The "GMA Academy" will be holding many seminars over that weekend and we will be
connecting with other musicians, etc. On a first come, first served basis, there
will be reps from different record labels there to critique albums. We are
hoping to be able to speak with some of them while we are there. We have signed
up for two of the special events to be held at the "GMA Academy"
(Spotlight 2005 and Song of 2005). For the Spotlight 2005, we have entered our
songs "You Are," "Can't Wait Forever," and "Through the Eyes of a Tragedy." As
for the Song of 2005 contest, we entered "You Are Everything," "What My Life
Could Mean," "You Are," and "Through the Eyes of a Tragedy." Song of 2005
contestants will be judged on originality, hook, etc. and the Spotlight of 2005
contestants will be judged based on performance, originality, hook, stage
presence, etc. Obviously we are very nervous about this event so please ask God
to give us peace and remind us that His will be done either way. It is our
understanding that the Song of 2005 winners will be announced before February
11, but we will keep you posted.
